About Magic Number Three Our News

Our Philosophy

The emphasis is on the ethical. 'Ethical' seems to have a variety of permutations these days - for us we're looking to tick some important boxes: sweatshop free clothing, whether it's made in the UK or elsewhere, the makers have fair working conditions and pay; the use of sustainable materials and fabrics, such as bamboo, organic cotton, silk and hemp; we support local and UK-based talent making beautiful and imaginative contemporary art and craft; we also seek out makers who re-claim and re-use materials - with stunning and innovative results.

We Love Local

We at MN3 have good relationships with local artists and makers. Saltaire and the surrounding area has a wealth of creative talent. Researching makers fairs is a lovely way of doing things - chatting to people who are passionate about the things that they make.

Fair Trading

We also look further afield for fairly-traded and ethically-produced products. Our focus is on finding out how and where things are produced. We source from established and recognised projects who monitor the production of their products.

Design and Quality

Magic Number Three can offer you garments and accessories with lasting appeal and durability because we source from labels who love quality. Our suppliers understand the importance of design and style as much as they support traditional skills and craftsmanship.

Green Stuff

The environment's great - it's where the sustainable crops and sheep live. Our packaging is either re-usable, compostable or recyclable. We recycle cardboard and paper packaging.

If you have suggestions about how we can be greener than Kermit the Frog then let us know.

Ready to Spring!

We love this time of year - when you have a good sort through your wardrobe, pull out the heavy dark things and see them in a whole different light in the sunshine. There's still frost on the ground around here but we're more than ready for the first glimmers of Spring: bright colours, light printed organic cotton; still with plenty of scarves and fine knits to lend cosy layers for the inbetween season time.

The birds are tweeting and so are we - search for Magic Number Thre (couldn't fit in both 'e's!) on Twitter and be the first to catch our exclusive offers.
